Drifting away : illustration on driftwood, photographed and printed.

Inspiration:  during the wet summer of 2012 I was walking along a Coromandel Beach collecting driftwood to do ‘something 'creative' with and the worsening weather meant that we were stuck inside our bach for several days. In preparation for the wet holiday I had brought along watercolours and an ink pen - and this is what I drew on the driftwood (I think it's actually a piece of old fencepost), gaining inspiration from one of my favourite Tui photos.

Process : Pen, pencil and watercolour illustration on driftwood which has then been photographed and printed.

Printing & framing options :  With canvas orders (option A) this artwork is printed so it’s floating within the front face of the canvas and the edges are left white. With (option D) art paper print in frame, the art paper is a thick archival watercolour-like paper and the frame is a chunky white box frame, there is no photo matt. Order timing : Allow 2-2 1/2 weeks for processing except for 'B' & 'D' orders which take 3-3 1/2 weeks. Shipping adds 2-3 working days. Please note that all orders are printed & framed once a customer has purchased & only a small amount of stock is held. If you should require an item sooner, a RUSH option is available on 'A' - stretched canvases & 'C' - rolled canvases for an extra $10 or please enquire if one is held in stock.
