Electric Memories 1 & 2 : is in memory of our nearly extinct overhead power poles.

Inspiration:  Power poles will soon be a distant memory, and we will tell our grandchildren how power poles used to be above ground. They are becoming an illusion of the past, and here I have represented them as an object of beauty - something that tells of history, that adds to the landscape with strong silhouettes and delicate lines.

Process : Many paint textures have been layered into the background, sourced from paint textures I have found & photographed throughout the coast and beaches of NZ, generally found on old boats and dinghys. Shellac-like rusty tones as well as egg-shell blue hues are silhouetted against blacks and delicate white details. Gannets flying overhead suggest a West Coast location.

Order timing : Allow 2-2 1/2 weeks for processing except for 'B' orders which take 3-3 1/2 weeks. Shipping adds 2-3 working days. Please note that all orders are printed & framed once a customer has purchased & only a small amount of stock is held. If you should require an item sooner, a RUSH option is available on 'A' - stretched canvases & 'C' - rolled canvases for an extra $10 or please enquire if one is held in stock.
