This gallery of dramatic and beautiful NZ landscape images & still life architectural photographs shows a subtle mixed media digital processing with opaque layers of texture. With a largely sepia tonal range these NZ inspired photo artworks work well with both contemporary and vintage neutral colour schemes.
In this gallery there are a few examples of HDR photography (high dynamic range photography) with ‘The Glimpse l & ll’, ‘Shadows & Light’, ‘Slippery when wet’ & ‘Toy Soldiers.’ HDR photography involves the merging of 3 exposures of the same composition to achieve the full tonal dynamic range from light to dark tones that the human eye can see but a digital camera cannot capture in 1 single photograph. This gives an intriguing surreal effect to the final merged image that looks rather like a painting.
