Printed art films provide a beautiful feature and allow light through as well as privacy.  I can print any of my artworks you see on my website or I can source something else if you are after something specific.  Alternatively I can print your photo if it's a small panel.

There are 3 types of window film we can print onto :

1) FROSTED film - allows light through but doesn't allow view through, printed to a opaque white film.  You can see the image from both sides of the glass panel.  Image colours and contrast looks more subdued and muted than it would look on your computer screen or a piece of white paper as light comes through the film and the background is not solid white.  This film will change it's look throughout the day depending on lighting conditions. These films come with a squegee and instructions for DIY install for small windows but for larger windows and / or a perfect install result we recommend using a local signwriter for install.




2) OPTICALLY CLEAR film - allows all light through and allows view through, printed to a film that looks like glass.  You can see the image from both sides of the glass panel.  Image colours and contrast look very subdued as there is NO white background and no white ink, it's a very transparent & subtle effect.   We recommend using a local signwriter to install these films.

3 - SOLID WHITE film - doesn't allow light through and doesn't allow view through - printed to a solid white background.  You cannot see the image from both sides of the glass panel, only the side you adhere the film to.  Image colours and contrast look bright and vibrant due to the white background.  A bold effect.   The reverse side of the glass you will view a grey film backing.  We recommend using a local signwriter to install these films.

ALL FILMS INFORMATION :

-Can be adhered to both sides of the glass panel, so suitable for indoor and outdoor application or bathrooms & wet areas.
-We suggest adhering the films to the inside face of glass if possible as this area is the cleanest but if you have dogs / cats that can scratch the film then outdoor application is best as film laminate will scratch.
-Films will stand up well to UV light and we use the best inks and films with a laminate for ink protection but NZ's UV light will always degrade all inks over time.  You will get a longer life from a film placed in a sheltered position compared to a full size North facing situation.
-For frosted films on small windows these come with a squegee and instructions and can be DIY installed but for a perfect result you should use a local signwriter.
-For clear and white films use a signwriter.
